THE GENEROSITY OF THE AVERAGE TAXPAYER KNOWS NO BOUNDS.
Our government tell us that the tribunals have, to a certain extent, paid for themselves by compelling the greedy wealth to pay up.
The reason the crooks were getting away with not paying proper taxes was because there was no will on the part of the Revenue Commissioners to go after them.
WONDER WHY THAT WAS? There was no 'impediment' when it came to getting taxes from the average Joe Sixpack who could loose everything if he slipped up.
Joe's money went to pay Civil Servants a good salary and good pension to turn a blind eye to the GREEDY BASTARDS who got the lions share of the scarce resources of the nation when times were tough.
THIS REGIME IS STILL IN POWER!
And the 'lead singer' is Mugabe Ahern!!!

Every time he opens his mouth, you can see the hand of the 'Galway Tent' moving under his coat!!!

IRISH PRIME MINISTER BERTIE 'MUGABE' AHERN...SUMS DON'T ADD UP
Opportunity to 'clear his name' has been postponed...AGAIN!

Our Great Leader's personal finances have come under the spotlight of the Mahon Tribunal and now his opportunity the 'make everything clear', which was schedualled to take place yesterday, has been postponed until September.
It now appears that Ahern and his ex girl friend Celia Larkin were inspired to go trawling around the banks where they had lodged and withdrawn large amounts of money in the early 90's when they discovered that the Mahon Tribunal was asking questions concerning sculduggery/corruption in the construction industry.
It has now been revealed that Our Great Leader changed his story - not for the first time - regarding IR£50,000 which went through his bank account.
This all smells of 'groundhog day' all over again for Fianna Fail and it's cronies. 'Mugabe' is constantly whinging about a 'conspiricy to get him out of office'.
It's not long ago that he got up in the Dail/House of Parliament and castigated the opposition for trying to 'hound a decent man out of office' when referring to Ray Burke who subsequently got six months in jail for fiddling his taxes. He was also involved in taking money from developers. This crook had held the portfolios of Minister for Foreign affairs and Justice and Environment at different times in his 20 years as a Fianna Fail TD/MP.
While Ray Burke was the 'Bugs Moran' of the nothside of Dublin, another great stalworth of Fianna Fail Liam Lawlor was the "Al Capone' of the the rest. Every time this crook saw a cement mixer he almost had an orgasm. He stuck his nose in every developement project that he saw taking place and even muscled in uninvited to meetings if he thought that there was the smell of 'payola'. He eventually resigned from Fianna Fail while, at the same time, there were clouds hanging over another Fianna Fail TD G. V. Wright. This great example of political vitue seriously injured a woman who was crossing the road while he was driving by...full up to his thick, hard neck of alcohol.
Beverly Flynn was found to have encouraged clients to evade tax while working as an official of National Irish Bank. She was later 'encouraged' to resign from Fianna Fail.
She then took the National Broadcaster RTE to court for reporting her tax evasion antics and eventually lost her case owing nearly €3m to RTE in legal costs. She then 'fiddled' RTE out of more than half of the money while at the same time 'Mugabe' Ahern invited her back into Fianna Fail.
Beverly Flynn's father, the infamous Padraig Flynn was found to taking money from developers and others left, right and center while being a sitting TD and, later, EU Commissioner.
Michael J. Collins was a Fianna Fail TD up until this year and his court case for tax evasion is coming up shortly.
Galway Fianna Fail Councillor Michael Fahy is presently serving a jail sentence for screwing the Galway County Council out of fencing which he used on his own land.
Patrick O'Donoghue who is a Fianna Fail Councillor in Killarney is being investigated by Standards in Public Office Commission over planning irregularities.
And we musn't forget the Godfather of Corruption in Irish Politics Charles J Haughey ...an out and out usurper of power for whom 'Mugabe' Ahern signed blank cheques and swears that he didn't know what they were for...YEAH!
'Slimey' Haughey collected money from his 'business cronies' to pay for medical treatment for his 'friend' Brian Lenihan but some of this money went to by Charvet shirts and other tacky trinkets for himself.
'Mugabe' Ahern said of Haughey at his funeral that "He was a patriot to his fingertips".
If that's the case, all the people mentioned in this article are also PATRIOTS!
And all the lawyers who are becoming millionaires at the taxpayers expense while trying to expose more patriots must be the greatest patriots of all.
THANKS AGAIN TAXPAYER FOR ALLOWING YOURSELF TO BE SCREWED WITHOUT FLINCHING BY IRISH PATRIOTS!

BRIDGE IN LEENANE WASHED AWAY
Setting for The Quiet Man and The Field has bridge wash away.

The recent sporodic torrential rain that has typified our present Summer has washed away the bridge in Leenane, Co. Galway. The N59 which is the main road from Clifden to Westport has been closed as a result causing traffic mayhem. Some motorists have to detour to the tune of 110km and tourism in the locality has been badly affected.
The village along with Cong was part of the settings for the films The Quiet Man and The Field
One hopes that the Authorities won't turn the repair of the bridge into a debacle similar to their attempts at remedying the contaminated water supply in and around Galway City.
I can see them now drawing up report after report which will lead them to the same conclusion that could be arrived at by looking into the river...THE BRIDGE IS GONE!

CYCLE TOURISM IN IRELAND
How much skin do YOU want to lose?

I was listening to a representative from the National Tourism and Developement Authority being interviewed on RTE Radio yesterday lamenting how Cycling Tourism figures had fallen drastically, in the last 7 years, from 130,000 in 50,000.
Fαilte Ireland, in an effort to get the figures back up, are to spend €30m on promoting the 'product' and improving the country's road structure.
Cycling on Irish roads should come under the heading of Extreme Sports as it's only someone who likes to dice with death who would try to ride a bicycle in the traffic conditions that pertain at present.
The Dublin Cycling Campaign refers to HGV drivers as 'Serial Killers' in one of their reports which points out that 17 cyclists have been killed in the city between 2,000 and 2,005...mostly by heavy trucks.
Apart from these city statistics, the speed at which traffic travels, compared to 20 years ago, on you average 'back road' is highly detrimental to cyclists...mostly because there are so few people who would chance riding a bike now, that drivers are not expecting to come upon cyclists and consequently don't allow for their presence. Cyclist are treated by the average motorist as a nuisance and are generally bullied into giving up what little space thay have. You can be sure that any statistics don't include the unfortunate cyclists who have been bullied into parting company with their bikes causing them to leave some skin on the road.
Another statistic which is 'conveniently ignored' is that there are 400,000 unqualified drivers operating on Irelands roads. A Provisional Driving Licence holder is obliged by law to be accompanied by the holder of a FULL licence but a blind eye is turned to this scenario by the Gardai.
Would it not be a good idea to spend some of the €30m on reducing the backlog of Provisional Licence holders in order to make sure that every driver is fully qualified before thay are allowed to drive alone.
Almost 50 per cent of those involved in single vehicle collisions are driving unlicensed or with a provisional licence only.
The question has to be asked: Is it wise to be inviting unsuspecting cycle tourists to cycle on Irish roads which are not safe and, furthermore, given the huge increases in traffic, year on year, are getting more dangerous by the day?
I, for one, wouldn't walk on our roads...not to mind ride a bike.

CHILD SEX ABUSE AND THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN IRELAND
I was a victim of church abuse

No, I didn't have to play with the parish priest's dick or get involved in any other type of sexual activity...I could have gotten over that easily.
No, my being abused by the Catholic Church was far more serious and sinister. It took me thirthy years to get over what happened to me and I wasn't alone.
No, what they did to me back in early 50's was...they buggered my bright and curious mind with the help of my poor parents who had had their minds buggered years before. Yes, they told me all about God and how God spent his time looking after me because children had a special place in his heart. They told me that the poorer I was and the more I suffered, the more sure I could be that I'd end up in heaven.
And later on, they told me that anything of a sexual nature was to be avoided because it was dirty and a MORTAL SIN.
I didn't hear the word 'sex' until I was about 16...there was always some obscure way of referring to it like naughty things, sinful ways, interfering with somebody and genitals were referred to as 'private parts' or 'down there'. When I think back to those times and compare them to now, I realise how incredibly backward the local population of South Kildare was and how this must have ideally suited the strutting clergy.
It has to be remembered that we were in virtual rags - some with a field for a toilet - while the clergy with their lovely clean hands, immaculate garb and driving one of the few cars in the parish, to us, looked like something from another planet...we didn't know that there were other planets anyway.
So the ground was very fertile for the 'pie-in-the-sky salesmen' to peddle the idiotic notions of a bunch of camel jockeys who existed over 2,000 years before. Every time that there was a flash of lightning, these guys thought that it was God telling them something which generally gave them an excuse to feel hard done-by by some other tribe and, as a consequence, some poor bastard's blood was spilled all over the desert.
We, as kids in 'holy Ireland', hung on every gory detail with visions of hell one minute and visions of heaven the next. Of course, we now recognise all this for what it was...the depiction of extreme violence conveyed to innocent children and it's still going on to this day.
Fear and intimidation were the weapons employed to 'condition' the impressionable into seeing the clergy as 'all-powerful'.
This atmosphere was perfect for the perpetration of the sexual abuse of children.
Even though I never suffered any sexual abuse or saw it go on, I can imagine why a kid who was abused would be terribly afraid to report the matter to an adult or his/her parents. The problem would be that the adult or parent wouldn't/couldn't believe the child and as a consequence the child faced the likelyhood of a severe hiding.
After seeing how easy it was to brainwash the local Irish population over centuries it was decided to export the filth to the world at large. Africa was where the main thrust of the operation was focused. One can only imagine what horrors were perpetrated in the darkness of that continent and I'm certain that there are many stories to be told.
It's reasonable to assume that reports similar to what went on in the Ferns Report could be gathered from all over the world.
I was prompted to put this article together by a report in today's paper concerning the compensation to be paid out by the Roman Catholic Church in Los Angeles - City of the Angels...how ironic - to 500 claimants accusing 221 priests.

WEATHER IN IRELAND
For those of you are fortunate enough not to live in Ireland, you'll be glad to know that it has rained almost every day for about the last six weeks and the forcast for next week is for more of the same.
Imaging taking you holidays with a 'hape' of kids in a caravan in Tramore and it pissing rain all day and your spouse below in the pub...langers.
Bet you couldn't wait to get home to develope the photos!
Can't wait to go to Torrevieja near Alicante in Spain next month where I can experience 'continental civilization'...smoking and drinking at the same time...it will be better than any orgasm...almost! In Ireland, you can't smoke in the pub and you can't drink outside the pub because both are illegal. Some of them have what's euphemistically called 'beer gardens'...a few tables and chairs in the back yard.
There was a move made in 2005 to introduce cafe bars but this idea was later shot down...the fact that 40% of Fianna Fail TD's/MP's and a good number from other parties are publicans couldn't possibly have been the reason for the failure!!!
So, even if we had good weather, you can only drink inside the pub where, in most cases, you can't see out and people outside can't see in.
OK...it's not that bad in some seaside towns where a blind eye is turned but in most towns you won't see people drinking outside the pub.

Bertie 'Mugabe' Ahern is at it again...One minute he's telling us that he's looking forward to giving evidence to the Mahon Tribunal and the next minute he's trying to put an end to it. He goes on about transparency and accountability when, in reality, the fate of the slaves of this country - 'Mugabe' calls then The People - will be decided, as always, in secret deals done in the Fianna Fail Tent at the Galway Races.
The first priority in the 'Den of Thieves' will be to figure out how to keep the 10,000 First-time-buyers working night and day digging their way into negative equity.

DANGEROUS DOGS
'Dog lovers' don't see any problem with these vermin walking our streets.

Today the so-called 'dog lovers' of this world are to demonstrate against Dublin City Council's new laws banning the keeping of dangerous dogs in housing estates. How many kid's faces and bodies have to be torn apart before people realise that uncontrolled dangerous dogs running about in housing estates is pure stupidity. Right now the the situation has reached epidemic proportions in almost every Local Authority in the country.
A recent attack on a child in Edenderry and a spate of other attacks mean nothing to the 'dog lover'. "I love my dog and FUCK YOU!" is their attitude if you mention the fact that their 'vermin' barks night and day and challenges you and every one else who tries to leave, enter or pass you own house.
Recently I reported the presence of a Rotweiller, a Doberman and a Pit Bull type roaming our estate at will to the Gardai and was told that they would have to bite somebody before they could do anything.
267 people killed by uncontrolled dogs in Virginia, USA isn't a problem for the 'dog lover' either and if you complain to the Housing Section of your Local Authority, as I did, all you will get is a letter warning you of the dangers of Toxocariasis...In other words "DON'T EAT THE DOG SHIT!"
It seems that the standard 'uniform' required to take your dog for a walk/shit is a track suit with the gusset swinging between the knees and a dirty pair of white runners. The trick then seems to be to stand in proud nonchalance against a traffic sign while your 'vermin' does a big steaming shit on the footpath for decent people to walk in...Doggy Bags...WHAH???
Apart from the nuisance aspect to others, is it right to have large dogs cooped up in small Local Authority houses day and night stressfully barking their brains out and then being dragged about for half an hour when the sun comes out?
I have written about 'dog lovers' making life miserable for others on numerous occasions drawing such comments as "Get a life!", "Get over it!"
Well, I have a life - or did have before the 'dog lovers' moved in - where I don't cause any problems for anybody living close to me and I'm very conscious of the fact that there could be people who work at night and may be sleeping during the day or there may be someone sick in bed who might need some sleep.
I believe that most people would rather live beside me than live beside one of the 'dog lovers' that I describe.
Since January 2007, there have been 10 reported dog attacks in the Dublin area. Three of these were on children.
So, to the 'dog lovers' I say:
IT'S NOT ME WHO NEEDS A LIFE....IT'S YOU WHO NEEDS MANNERS!

SPANISH STUDENTS BEING BEATEN UP IN IRELAND
Estudiantes espaρoles golpeados en Irlanda.
Los estudiantes tienen que ser escoltados a sus escuelas.

I have just been listening to RTE's Radio program Liveline 13 June 2007 and was, again, outraged at the fact that thugs can roam our streets at will beating up people as they go and nothing of any value is ever done by the authorities to put a stop to it.
Callers to the program described how Spanish students and students from other countries, who come here every year, are being targeted by thugs and beaten up in numerous parts of the country resulting in some of them having to be escorted to and from their schools.
Almost every year, around this time, the Liveline program receives calls from different parts of the country describing this type of thuggery.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR BERTIE 'MUGABE' AHERN...PRIME MINISTER FOR LIFE???
HOW BIG DOES THE 'WRITING ON WALL' HAVE TO BE?

Below is Jody Corcoran's piece in the Sunday Independent...01 July 2007
This is how corrupt governments have historically manouvered themselves into usurping power while the electorate carry on with the 'finger up the arse' as if all was hunky-dory. Will we have to fight for our freedom all over again...this time, to take it back from Fianna Fail?

'Flynnasty' finances have always been fraught with controversy

It's an unfortunate State to be in - so suck it up, folks
IF IT happened anywhere else, the people would take to the streets - as they did in India in 1996, when vital information was withheld from them. It is happening under our noses here, and we plod along as usual.
What a dismal week then for the free flow of information, for the spirit of the law, the essence of democracy.
Consider this: a Government is returned to power, financed by business figures, the identity of whom is deliberately concealed from us by this same government - Fianna Fail - conspiring, as I suspect, to blatantly abuse the very ethics laws it introduced in response to outrageous political scandal, perpetrated in the main by its own members, its 'Family'.
Then this: the leader of that party, Bertie Ahern, secures his stranglehold on power by striking covert deals with a handful of Independent TDs (three or four, depending on who you believe), the result of which is that hundreds of millions of taxpayers' money will be spent on said Independents' pet projects.
This suits them both: Bertie, for his grip on the levers of state, and all of the little favours he can dispense with that (the reappointment of Joe Burke to a State board, for example); the Independents for their re-election prospects. One of these Independents is a tax dodger, another helped facilitate tax dodging, and another keeps up the charade that he is anything other than a dyed-in-the-wool Fianna Failer, a member of the Family, a scion of it, in the first place.
And now this: the State broadcasting service, RTE, also substantially financed by the taxpayer - increasingly so, provided, it was stipulated, that it displays greater transparency on how it spends our money - strikes a secret deal with the said facilitator of tax dodging, the lovely Bev. This deal saves her well in excess of €1m - our money, to pay their fat cat lawyers - a sum which would probably finance for years the investigative journalism of Charlie Bird, one of RTE's own journalists who had helped expose Ms Flynn's facilitation in the first place.
When this kind of thing goes on blatantly, arrogantly, as if it is the norm (which, come to think of it, it is), then you have to ask if there is any point in trying to hold the pillars of state to account.
Perhaps we would be better watching the contrived nonsense that is Big Brother, or the bogus media circus that is Paris Hilton, or the reunion of the Spice Girls (I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want), and letting them all get on with thwarting democracy, strangling the spirit of the law and thumbing their noses at the rest of us.
This is a serious matter. The Standards in Public Office Commission was set up for a reason. It is there to monitor the ethics of our politicians. Last week, it said a fresh approach was needed to allow for "increased transparency" and "greater scrutiny" of party expenditure. As a mate of mine used to say, when we worked on the bog together, transparency me hole.
Figures for last year reveal that nine political parties - including Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and the PDs - disclosed no donations for 2006, the 12 months running up to the General Election year.
Of course, they only have to disclose donations of more than €5,079. So, if you wanted to give, say, €25,000 to Fianna Fail, all you would have to do is personally hand over €5,078, give a similar amount on behalf of your wife, and three children. And nobody would be any the wiser. Sweet.
The Commission is calling for an "urgent review" of the legislation governing donations to political parties, legislation which has been made a mockery of by the very legislators who enacted it in 2001.
Now ask yourself this: Is it proper, should it even be legal, that the leader of a political party should use taxpayers' money like a personal slush fund to guarantee his election as Taoiseach; and then not tell us what deal he has struck with our money?
What, if anything, is the price of Michael Lowry's support, of Jackie Healy Rae's hard won loyalty? How much of the tax I've paid will fund new roads in Thurles and Killorglin, just to keep these two onside, even if their support is not strictly required to provide mantra-like stability?
Isn't it also a national imperative, that Ahern tell us precisely what occurred between himself and Beverley Flynn on the eve of his election as Taoiseach, that she can now waltz back into Fianna Fail, brazen as you like and hold out the realistic prospect of a junior ministry?
What should Sean Ardagh now think, or Sean Fleming, or the many other worthy ministers of state cooling their heels on the Fianna Fail backbenches, mere voting fodder compared to the likes of Flynn, Lowry, Healy-Rae and even McGrath (who, in fairness, has disclosed a little of his payback)?
I feel sorry for Cathal Goan, the RTE director-general caught between a rock and a hard place. Having forked out €250,000 to Monica Leech for a moment of madness perpetrated by some fool on live radio, he tried to recoup some of RTE's losses spent defending Charlie Bird, to the point that that fine journalist was irredeemably affected by the ordeal of lawsuit, notwithstanding that he won hands down.
I know this, by the way, because Charlie has intimated it to me. He does not feel himself to be the same man, the same journalist he was before that court case. Sitting in a witness box (and, personally, I know this to be true) can suck the very marrow from your bones.
So when Bertie rehabilitated Beverley, again on live radio - lauding her suitability for high office - did Cathal Goan subconsciously feel that he had a gun held to his head? Or did he hear a voice . . . "settle with Beverley, as best you can"? No pressure, of course.
The alternative? A small house in the West, and a drip feed from Bev's salary until or unless she is not re-elected. Give me a break. Bev, who says she will take out a loan to pay her own debts, must have a brave bank manager.
And we do not know, and are not being told, how this happened. The flow of information is staunched, even if Beverley didn't get the secrecy clause she tried to negotiate.
In India just 10 years ago they marched until they secured as a right information about development expenditure. Here, the entire concept of freedom of information is becoming a joke.
The Freedom of Information Act was amended by Charlie McCreevy in 2003 to the point that, for many, it is now all but inoperable. The Ombudsman Emily O'Reilly recently complained that the Government was making changes to this increasingly useless piece of legislation without consulting with, or even referring to her.
Now that that's off my chest, I will tell you what I want, what I really, really want. I want to be part of it.
There is no point in pissing into the tent anymore, is there? We might as well piss out like the rest of them, on the little people. Suck (as it were) like the rest of them on the tit of State.
It's a great little country, a great little country indeed.

ALERT AS INFLATION SPIRALS OUT OF CONTROL...
Cost of living 20pc higher than the European norm and the average mortgage cost €320 more than two years ago.
(For years Fianna Fail have encouraged big business interests - friends of the party - to set up almost anywhere that they liked and charge customers whatever they liked in order to 'cream as much as possible as quickly as possible' under the guise of exciting the ecomomy. This short term measure has now come to a screeching halt and now, 'Joe Sixpack' is the one who will have to tighten his belt again while the greedy 'thick neck' in the Mercedes is away down the road laughing and, in many cases, having paid no taxes.
There are thousands of people right now who will spend years paying an exorbitant mortgage before they even get near the value of their property.)

IRELAND...A MODERN DAY BANANA REPUBLIC
Where the more dishonest the candidates, the more votes they get.

The media speculation right now leads us to believe that our next 'government' will be composed of Fianna Fail, whats left of the Progressive Democrats and some independents.
The PD's had 8 seats before the election and now have two...a resounding surge of electoral support.
The Independents are likely to include tax-dodger Michael Lowry who is to appear at the Moriarty Tribunal next week and Beverly Flynn who, as a bank official, helped greedy business people to avoid paying tax while her father Padraig Flynn was creaming money from crooked developers.
The man who is to be the leader of the gang, our Great Leader 'Mugabe' Ahern, has questions to answer himself to the Mahon Tribunal.
The gibberish that this man uses to answer questions would be laughable if it wasn't for the fact that the taxpayer - who built the Tiger Economy and not Fianna Fail as they like to claim - has to get up at 5 o'clock in the morning, struggle through hours of gridlocked traffic, work all day and then do the same journey home in order to pay an exorbitant mortgage and now has to make millionaires out of greedy lawyers as well.
'Mugabe' Ahern, in case the people who voted for him forgot, was the Secretary of the Fianna Fail Party when Charlie Haughey and his gang of crooks were systematically looting the country and, at Haughey's 'State' funeral, said Haughey "was a patriot to his finger tips".
With 'patriots like that, who needs enemies?
While all this horse trading is going on, the sick are lying on urine soaked trollys in our hospitals because of our Third World Health Service and people who live right beside schools with no places in the over-crowded classrooms have to drive their kids to other schools which are miles away because the developers were allowed to build hundreds of houses without proper infrastructure.
These same developers, with government support, have made sure that people who are on the local authority housing lists can wait until they - the developers - get their wad and the arse falls out of the construction industry before social housing gets priority in order to create employment.

BERTIE AHERN AND HIS MONEY: Bank holds the key to $45,000 question
Any finding that the monies lodged were originally US dollars would have serious consequences for Mr Ahern and Ms Larkin, who have both denied handling that currency.
The bank document, known as a 'bottom sheet', sets out an itemised list of daily foreign exchange transactions, but AIB has yet to furnish this to the tribunal. To date, the bank has only provided an overall, global record of non-sterling transactions on December 5, 1994 at its O'Connell Street branch.
Bewildered and bothered, but still bewitched by Bertie
After two attempts to explain the six lodgements most of us are doubly confused. And if, as some of his critics have suggested, Mr Ahern designed his explanations as a puzzle, then he has perfected the fiscal successor to the Rubix Cube.
But choosing which account to lodge the dosh in seems to have been decided by the process of eeny-meeny-mynie-mo. Just as the donors of the cash appear to have been selected from friends and acquaintances who might have been bidding at a charity auction.

THE country was hit by a new wave of jobs gloom yesterday, as three of the best-known names in industry threatened to cut their workforces.

"A DECENT MAN BEING HOUNDED OUT OF OFFICE"
This is what Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern said when Ray Burke was found to be one of many Fianna Fail crooks.

"I said I would be prepared to pay £500,000 to get out of here, if I could get my money back. Joe Burke followed this up by saying he was not talking about the deposit but asked me if I would not be prepared to pay £500,000 because I knew Bertie Ahern was looking after me. "I said that if a demand was being made on behalf of Bertie Ahern then I should hear it first hand from Bertie Ahern," Mr Gilmartin said.

FF talks with Healy-Rae a 'diversion' says McGrath
(You'd be surprised at Bertie Ahern or Fianna Fail having anything to do with a 'diversion'.)
JACKIE Healy-Rae became the first Independent TD yesterday to say he has been contacted by Fianna Fail about supporting an Ahern-led government.
But fellow Independent Finian McGrath claimed the Taoiseach was creating a smoke screen for talks with the Labour Party.
The Taoiseach has said his preferred choice is a deal with the remnant of the PDs and the five Independent TDs.

The $45,000 question...
(Listen to Shifty making everything as 'clear as mud'...HERE)

THE Mahon Tribunal will today respond to a sensational attack on its integrity by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern after it raised serious questions about a possible $45,000 payment.
In an unprecedented move, Judge Alan Mahon is expected to rebut extraordinary allegations made by Mr Ahern's counsel that the tribunal was biased against him.
This followed claims by the tribunal that Mr Ahern's account of how he came to receive stg£30,000 did not stand up to scrutiny.
THE GALWAY TENT WINS AGAIN
And for the disadvantaged and the general 'cannon fodder' of big business... Don't throw away the 'grinding stone' because deals which will be done at Ballybrit - the real Dail - will put you further down the list of priorities.
For the next few years you will be able to watch every promise that was made by Fianna Fail evaporate into thin air.
The pressure is off now and the looting of the country can begin in earnest.
I would love to be wrong but....The track record is not good.

THE CHOICES FACING THE UNFORTUNATE ELECTORATE
CROOKS, CHARLATANS OR GOBSHITES...TAKE YOUR PICK!

23 May 2007
For the last few weeks we have had to endure the embarressing spectacle of what passes for political leadership talking through their arse.
To see these brass necks on television spewing out lie after lie and the so-called opposition jumping in to counter lies with more lies is nothing short of sickening and this, in a modern 'progressive' nation makes it all the harder to take.
Years ago, when marketing/research was in it's infancy, our politicians discovered that they could use as much of the taxpayers money as they liked by commissioning crooks to show them how far they could push the gullible electorate...effectively deceiving the taxpayer with his/her own money and ever since, they could tell lies as often as it suited the occasion.
It appears that the use of this 'technology' has reached such a peak as to become farsical.
An example of this is our Great Leader's explanations regarding his finances.
Michael Wall was at the dinner but didn't eat the dinner. Michael Wall had an accident and got so confused that he willed some of his property to Shifty Ahern forgetting that he had a family.
Michael Wall gave Shify a suitcase of money for the refurbishment of the house which Shifty gave bact to Wall...or did he give to Celia Larkin? He had fifty grand in the safe which he took out and put in the bank. Or did he take it from the bank and put it in the safe?
He had no money after his divorce but had fifty grand in the safe...
THIS IS VILLAGE IDIOT GOBBLEDEGOOK!!!
It must have been very difficult for the media attending Shifty's press conferences to keep from urinating on themselves with laughter.
What's even more laughable is listening to Shifty going on about the Ethics Committee that he set up to provide transparency in politics. One of the head buck cats appointed to the commitee was none other than Liam Lawlor...the head of the Fianna Fail Camorra protection racket. You couldn't built an outdoor toilet unless he gave the nod!
Shifty and his gang of 'looters' have had 10 years of unpreceedented national wealth to sort out the problems of the country. Instead, things that were bad 10 years ago are worse now. Our Health Services are in chaos...nurses on strike, consultants digging in their heels, plans to build private hospitals on taxpayers ground resulting in the taxpayer lying on a trolly in a corridor for days when he/she becomes sick and plans to close badly needed hospitals in out-the-way parts of the country.
Gridlock on our roads means that it can take hours to 'drive' a couple of miles. The 35 km M50 is nearly always choc-a-bloc with not even a place to have a piss. Because our government are an easy touch for crooked developers 11bn euro was swindled in road construction 'overruns'.
There are families who bought houses opposite a school for covenience only to find that there are no places for their kids in that school and they now have to drive the kids to other schools which are miles away in heavy traffic.
Developers are allowed to build hundreds of houses without having to provide proper infrastructure...not even proper roads. There are newly built apartment blocks where the toilets flush straight into the river.
Thousands of people in Galway City who have to buy bottled water as the regular tap water is polluted. Other parts of the country are almost as bad.
CRIME
People are afraid to walk the streets of our cities and towns at night and a great many won't go out in their own housing estates because of anti-social behaviour.
The most dangerous inmates in our prisons are lying back watching flat-screen TV while running their drugs businesses by mobile phone. Some are thought to have ordered hits on their rivals from prison.

WHAT'S THE ALTERNATIVE?
The 'motley crew' who call themselves the oposition are now gathering like flies around the proverbial shit because they see the national till open and they want to get their share while the going is good. Mention the 'good of the country' in this scenario and you're looked upon as some kind of pervert.
Poor old Inda Kinney while a nice man will be no match for the crooks that he will have to deal with in the event of his being successful.
Pat Rabbitte is an articulate and intelligent fellow...not much good if he ends up in the midst of 'no-hopers'. Sinn Fein and their stupid All Ireland dream will only drag us back to patriotic gobshite-ism at every opportunity. I think, like many others, that 35 years of misery and 3,000 dead is enough of that crap.
The Greens think that they are going to save the planet not realising that we are all sawing away frantically at the branch that we're sitting on.
WHY I'M GOING TO SPOIL MY VOTE IN PROTEST
For years I have emailed my local politicians concerning issues in my housing estate with no results. Some of these so-called local representatives, it seems, don't have proper email facilities and if they do, some don't even reply.
And making complaints to the local authority which is supposed to be governed by these politicians is a total waste of time.
It's not much in this day and age to expect to carry on correspondence through electronic media.
I suspect that it's because they believe that people in poor housing estates don't deserve their attention and don't have any real voice. But these brass necks have no difficulty coming around every few years looking for the ghetto vote.
All in all, these hopeless public representatives, once elected, can do virtually what they like and don't really have to answer to anyone while drawing a good salary and looking forward to a nice pension.
IT'S TIME A SYSTEM WAS PUT IN PLACE WHEREBY THE PEOPLE WHO ELECT POLITICIANS AND WHO PAY THEIR SALARIES ARE TREATED WITH THE RESPECT THAT THEY DESERVE AND NOT, AS IN MY CASE, TREATED WITH DISDAIN.
WE HAVE BIG GIRLS IN IRELAND
Our Minister for Justice Michael McDowell said that there was no 'nod and wink' relationship between prison authorities and the country's most dangerous prisoners.
It was also said that detecting contraband getting into prisons was extremely difficult as people were bringing items in concealed in their bodies.
It must have been a really big girl who smuggled in three flat screen TV's.
The Minister, in the media yesterday May 09, said that if there was found to be collusion on the part of some prison officers that there would be repercussions.
If this is the case, it will be the first time in ten years of this government that anyone was found responsible for anything! Irish Independent

IRISH PRIME MINISTER BERTIE AHERN AND HIS PATHETIC LIES
"What Bertie says is simply not credible. He has been re-writing the evidence on an ad hoc basis for seven months. He still is. The explanations of the money do not add up and have created growing distrust in his truthfulness and behaviour.
It is an election matter, central to the man who is asking the electorate to put him back in power. His Cabinet have become largely irrelevant, so has the party manifesto. Ministers are being wrong-footed, destabilized and instead of looking to their leader for decisive strength they see a man who embarrasses them."
